The 4th edition of the international rock-metal festival ROCK CASTLE in MORAVSKÝ KRUMLOV will experience a big rock event in the middle of August next year! One of the most famous American "hair metal" bands of the 80's, DOKKEN is saying goodbye to an active music career and to you, all the fans of the ROCK CASTLE festival, they are coming to play live one more time, for the last time! History is being made there and you will be there!
DOKKEN have sold an incredible 10 million albums and would pave the pavement with platinum records! Their story began already in 1976 when Don Dokken joined Greg Peck and Steven R. Barry and founded the band. Their first, debut album was released in 1983, and their second, 1984's "Tooth and Nail" shot them to the top of the worldwide charts and went platinum. Success followed success and many mega-successful records and countless world rock hits emerged from their musical workshop. They toured with such giants as Van Halen or Metallica. They experienced a short concert and creative break, several necessary changes in the line-up, traveled the whole world several times and their pleasant, classic hard-rock has been heard for several decades on all the world's radios and in the rooms of several generations of rockers. But time cannot be stopped, so even the famous and tireless Don Dokken and his DOKKEN feel that it is time to rest. Earlier this year, DOKKEN released an album package called "The Elektra Albums 1983-1987", which includes their first four studio albums, albums from their creative peak. The long-awaited twelfth studio album "Heaven Comes Down" was released on October 27th, 2023, along with the music video "Fugitive".
At ROCK CASTLE 2024, you can expect a dose of absolute rock classics, a clean and still very inspiring stream of great rock energy, pleasant ballads and the guitar skills of only 20-year-old band member Jon Levin.
